Terms of Service
Last updated: June 15, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and SeaThru (“SeaThru”, “we”, “us”) governing your use of seathru.app and the services we provide through it (the “Service”). By using SeaThru, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
What SeaThru does
SeaThru lets you type a tech concept and receive a short, AI-generated animated explainer video — with an optional AI voiceover and a written article — that plays in your browser. Output is generated automatically and may vary in accuracy and quality.
Your account
You need an account to generate videos, and you sign in with Google. You're responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your Google login secure. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use SeaThru. Provide accurate information and don't impersonate anyone or share your account.
Plans, limits & billing
- Free plan. You can generate a limited number of videos at no cost, as shown on our pricing page. These limits are part of the Service and may change.
- Pro plan. A paid subscription unlocks a higher monthly generation limit and full access to the library, billed in advance on a recurring basis until you cancel.
- Payments. Subscriptions are processed by our third-party payment provider. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method.
- Renewal & cancellation. Your subscription auto-renews each billing period. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current paid period.
- Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Prices and plan limits may change with reasonable notice.
For current pricing and limits, see our pricing page.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use SeaThru to:
- Break the law, infringe others' rights, or generate harmful, hateful, harassing, or deceptive content
- Attempt to bypass usage limits, rate limits, authentication, or any security or access controls
- Scrape, resell, or redistribute the Service, or access it through automated means except as we expressly permit
- Reverse-engineer, disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure
- Upload or submit content you don't have the right to use, or any sensitive personal data
We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that put the Service or other users at risk.
Content & intellectual property
Your inputs. You keep ownership of the topics and prompts you submit. You grant us a license to process and store them as needed to operate and improve the Service.
Generated output. Subject to these Terms and your continued compliance, you may use the videos, voiceovers, and articles you generate for your personal and internal business purposes. Because output is AI-generated, similar output may be produced for other users, and we make no guarantee of exclusivity or that output is free of third-party rights.
Our materials. SeaThru, including its name, design, animation engine, component library, software, and underlying technology, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms don't grant you any rights in them beyond using the Service as intended.
AI-generated content disclaimer
SeaThru's explainers are produced by automated AI systems and are provided for general educational purposes. They may contain errors, omissions, or outdated or misleading information. Don't rely on generated content as professional, legal, financial, or technical advice — verify anything important before acting on it.
Third-party services
SeaThru relies on third-party providers (for example, Google for sign-in and AI generation, Supabase for data, our payment provider for billing, and our hosting and rendering providers). Your use of features that depend on them may also be subject to their terms. We're not responsible for third-party services we don't control.
Service availability
We work to keep SeaThru available and reliable, but the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SeaThru and its suppliers disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 50.
Termination
You may stop using SeaThru and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will continue to apply.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are material, we'll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use SeaThru after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
